2008 Vampire Weekend / Bowery Ballroom, New York - To date this poster has the distinction of being one of my most recognized works. Being featured in numerous magazines and on hundreds of websites. I chose to focus on darker traditional vampire motifs with an ironic twist.
2008 Vampire Weekend / Academy 2, Manchester - United Kingdom - Pretty quickly after the first Vampire Weekend poster for Bowery Ballroom - I did this one for the Academy 2 show. After developing many concepts - decided to focus on the more polite and British version of drinking blood.

2012 Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors / Opelika, Alabama. The poster was inspired by the honored tradition of vintage multi-panel ad blocks. Drew Holcomb grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and now calls East Nashville, Tennessee home. Holcomb earned a considerable following after his 2005 album, Washed in Blue, was released and had multiple TV placements on Lifetime's Army Wives and Showtimes's United States of Tara, and A&E's The Cleaner. 2012 Explosions in the Sky / Moore Theatre, Seattle - Inspired by the old Atari classic “Missile Command” - for some reason their music reminds me of being a kid and explosions in the sky was a perfect link to a childhood favorite game. Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock band from Texas. The band garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their elaborately developed guitar work, what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies," and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows.
2012 13Ghosts / Waverly, Alabama. Poster for Birmingham-based, surf-rock gods, 13Ghosts. That’s right, 13Ghosts on Friday the 13th. Scott Peek always does a killer job bringing in top talent to his shows, plus Standard Deluxe is the best print shop in the South. A little more about 13Ghosts (from Pitchfork) - "Brad Armstrong sings like Richard Buckner at a closed-casket viewing and favors intensely Book of Revelations imagery. 13ghosts continue to reinvent themselves with every song, trying on new sounds and styles to see what fits…The Strangest Colored Lights is a persistently somber, mostly humorless album, but it's so musically vigorous that you wouldn't mind if they dwelt on death for the rest of their lives."

2011 Duran Duran / All You Need Is Now - US Tour Poster. As a kid in the 80’s I was a big Duran Duran fan, so when the opportunity to do a poster for them came up, I just about lost my mind. I can still remember the beginning of cable TV — when MTV first aired. I remember two videos more than any, John Cougar Mellencamp’s Hurt So Good and Duran Duran’s RIO. I had to recapture a little of the 80s in this one. I’m also a big fan of Patrick Nagel work, this is an homage to his style and I put the image on my parent’s old Curtis Mathis TV.
2012 Poster for Cary Hudson, Laurie Stirratt, and Frank Coutch, aka Blue Mountain. For ten years, Blue Mountain not only ruled Oxford, Mississippi’s music scene, they were world renowned. Voted “Oxford’s Most Legendary Band,” and deservingly so. They were signed to America’s largest Independent record label, Roadrunner Records, were known for touring the globe with bands such as Wilco and Son Volt, and they played some of the best roots rock you’ll ever hear. On a personal note: probably one of my all-time favorite posters — that I have done. Expanded my style to really fit the band and was happy with the result. Printed by Scott Peek at Standard Deluxe.
2012 Mike Cooley / Waverly, Alabama. Mike Cooley of the Drive-By Truckers and a reunion of the Auburn, Alabama favorite band: Local White Bread -- so of course, its a fantastic bread truck. Printed by Standard Deluxe. From the Washington City Paper: “A confession: When I get a new Drive-By Truckers album, I skip ahead to the songs written and sung by Mike Cooley. One of the keys to the Athens, Ga.-by-way-of-Alabama outfit's enduring supremacy is that most bands don't have any great songwriters and the Truckers have always had at least two. Cooley co-founded the group in 1996 with Patterson Hood.
